Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday wished President Uhuru Kenyatta a happy 58th birthday but reminded him of their retirement plans.

Through a post on Twitter, the DP described the Head of State as an inspiration to him and wished him God’s blessings in his final term.

“Happy birthday to my friend & Boss H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta. You are a great inspiration to me, Jubilee leadership and millions of Kenyans as the youngest President we've ever had.

“As we age, I look forward to what we agreed on to do when we retire. Remember? Ubarikiwe mpaka Ushangae!” read the post.

Elsewhere, Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris thanked the President for his dedication to the country and wished him continued strength as he strives to make Kenya better.

“Wishing a very Happy Birthday to His Excellency, President Uhuru Kenyatta. Thank you for your service and dedication to our Country.

“I wish you continued strength as you work to advance the interests of Kenyans,” wrote Passaris.

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir, on his part, vowed to stand with the President in his bid to deliver the Big Four agenda.

“Dear President Uhuru Kenyatta, I join all Kenyans of goodwill to say #HappyBirthdayMrPresident ....

“We will stand with you to deliver your Big4, BBI & to End Corruption,” wrote Kipkorir.

Kenyans online also sent their wishes although some expressed their disgruntlement at the President’s tenure.
