Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has been ranked the worst performing governor by All African Advisors, a United Kingdom-based advisory firm.

According to a poll which involved a devolution assessment study conducted between June and August 2019 the governor was graded the worst by the firm which specializes in commercial and developmental projects in Africa.

The survey pointed out that infrastructure development was a leading priority for many constituents and had the highest impact on determining the effectiveness of the county governments.

From the survey, Machakos county governor Alfred Mutua was ranked the best performing followed by Kakamega County governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Nairobi`s Mike Sonko, Prof Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni and Ali Hassan Joho of Mombasa in that order.

The results of the survey were announced during an event at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

A survey carried out by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) between October 2018 and June 2019 in terms of counties` news coverage showed that Kiambu County was Ranked Second mostly from corruption-related cases.

The Kiambu governor was recently barred by the Anti-corruption court in Milimani from accessing his office at the Kiambu county headquarters.
