Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday commented on the viral video of a young boy who was hurling insults at his classmate who was only identified as Nikita.

Sonko said that the 13-year-old boy needs ‘a lot of help’, adding that the kid needs love and guidance.

“This boy needs a lot of help..... He's struggling. More than meets the eyes. Young man your apology is accepted next time when apologizing don't use the word " "BUT"

“Fellow Kenyans let's say No to Cyber Bullying this kid needs Love, guidance and counseling psychology,” said the governor.

Activist Boniface Mwangi, however, did not mince his words and suggested that the boy should be taken to an approved school (residential institution for young offenders).

“At the age of 11 years, l was sent to Approved School. I had run away from home and l was convicted of 'vagrancy.'

“At 14 years, I was expelled from approved school. The Consolota Boy belongs in approved, he will find teachers and boys who can teach him lessons on how to behave,” said Mwangi.

The boy stated that Nikita constantly tells him that he is an unwanted child and is gay.

“She keeps spreading rumours about me. I am sure you would have done the same had it happened to you,” he said.

He went on to state that he never wanted the situation to get out of hand but those bashing him should get their facts right.
