Nairobi Traffic Commander Joshua Omukata has advised motorists to avoid the following major roads on Saturday, July 6, 2019, due to the Diabetes Walk that will be held at Carnivore Grounds.

According to a statement seen by Ureport, Lang'ata Road, Haile Selassie Avenue, Hospital Road and Uhuru Highway will be closed from 6am to midday.

Those using Lang’ata Road have been asked to use the Southern Bypass to join Mombasa Road.

They will then proceed to Lusaka, Jogoo and Landhies roads to access the CBD.

"Motor vehicles towards CBD are advised to use Southern bypass to join Mombasa road and join Lusaka, Jogoo and Landhies road to avoid the event road.

“This applies to motor vehicles along Mombasa road to follow the same," reads the statement in part.

Also, Uhuru Highway will be used as a single carriageway from the Uhuru Highway/Haile Selassie Avenue roundabout to Uhuru Highway/Bunyala roundabout.

Those who wish to access the CBD from Ngong Road have been requested to use Valley Road and Kenyatta Avenue.
