Political analyst Herman Manyora has advised Deputy President William Ruto not to lose his life in his quest to become the next President of Kenya.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Manyora examined recent talk about elimination of the DP and he stated that the issue should not be taken lightly.

On the letter purported to have been written by a CS who was present during meetings that discussed the alleged assassination, the analyst questioned its validity and said maybe it was fabricated by Ruto’s men to win sympathy or the handshake team to provoke him to ‘overreact.’

He, however, told the DP that the Presidency is not worth fighting for.

"Ruto, I know you want to be the president of Kenya, perfectly well. It is your right. You deserve it.

“I will not even hesitate to support you but is the presidency a matter of life and death? Must you be the president?” he asked.

Adding: "Being the president of a poor third world country like Kenya is not that important. This is a backward country which is collapsing under debt burden and mismanagement," he stated.

This comes after it emerged that a number of top government officials were allegedly planning to ‘neutralise’ the DP.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Wednesday commented on the alleged plot to kill the DP and revealed that he had asked him about the matter.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Murkomen stated that he tried to ask Ruto about the matter but he played it down.

"When I asked him, what is this story that you're being sought by DCI and so forth, he said 'no no no those are other issues' you know the way he usually does," Murkomen said.

Adding: "I am now of age, I'm above 40 years so I still saw that his body language is that of a person who is concerned.”

The Senator referred to previous instances when the DP has played down conflict but stated that he appeared a little bit concerned by the recent developments.

Further, Murkomen divulged that there was a slight change in the DP’s motorcade, saying that he noticed an extra car and a member of Ruto’s security detail told him that ‘some work had been done.’
