Police are on the hunt for 3 people who were captured on camera ruthlessly whipping a man whose hands were tied with a rope.
The incident which is said to have happened within Sajiloni area of Dalalekutuk ward in Kajiado Central went viral prompting the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to act.
The office of the DCI said they had arrested one man identified as Joseph Pasile Mulata.
The 65-year-old is believed to be among a group of four people recorded beating a man yet to be identified.
Confirming the arrest on Twitter the office of the DCI said: “65-year-old Joseph Pasile Mulata was today arrested following a viral video of a man being ruthlessly whipped by a group of about FOUR men. THREE known suspects are being pursued by Detectives.”
In the viral video, a man lying on the ground, facing the ground, had his hand tied with a rope from behind.
A group of four men with a long stick, as captured, descend on him mercilessly. The victim’s painful cries could save him from the determined attackers.
The cause of the attack is yet to be established given that the ruthless men and the victim are only heard speaking in a Maasai language throughout the incident.
