Citizen TV news anchors got Kenyans murmuring after the popular Verushka Wigs posted pictures of Yvonne Okwara and Jacque Maribe rocking the latest wigs in town.

The pictures in our possession show Ms Okwara fitting a wavy wig worth Sh55,000 while her colleague Ms Maribe wearing a Sh45,000 Cambodian hair.

“You make our wig look so gorgeous. You are beautiful inside and outside. It’s always a pleasure fitting you. A hearty congratulation on your new chapter. We love how you carry and direct all your features. Wherever you go we will follow,” Verushka Wigs told Okwara.

An elated Okwara responded warmly referring to the hair as the best in what they do.

Most people assume that women wear wigs and weaves because they do not love or appreciate natural hair.

Experts opine that women wear wigs and weaves to protect natural hair and stress that not every woman in a wig is bald or has bad hair underneath.

Wearing a wig or weave gives natural hair a break from daily maintenance routines that may cause damage and weaken the hair such as heat, breakages and chemicals.
