Tribute

With humble acceptance of God’s will, family and leadership of Kapiyo Self Help Group mourn the untimely death of their vibrant, inquisitive, intelligent and bright spirited Father/Patron Eng. Charles Juma Apiyo.

He was the Director Calijum Tech Engineering and a contractor at Delmonte Kenya Ltd, Thika.

He is pre-deceased by his parents late Mzee Martin Apiyo and late Mama Teresia Olang’o. His step mothers were Mama Christine Akede (Nyotiende) and the late Elizabeth Apiyo.

His ethics, honesty and love of people are well known and will be missed by many.

Together with his Wife Alice Akinyi Juma, Eng Juma built the beginnings of a beautiful family in their sons - the late Timothy Odhiambo, Alvin Ouko, Emmanuel Juma - and daughters Lydia Akoth, Christine Aluoch, Cathrine Achieng, Mary Anyango, and other children Winston Omondi, Irine Onyango, and Fredrick Gusi.

His brothers and sisters were, the late Lucas Moi, the late Angeline Owuor, Wilfrida Ong’ele, the late Augustine Otiu, Cathrina Okuogo, Fidelis Owuor, the late Oscar Okeya, Margaret Ayieko, Susan Adhiambo, Philista Chiaga, Grace Hindia, Festo Otieno Apiyo, Martin Junior, James Aballa, Olum Gondi, Paul Gondi, Hongo Aballa, the late John Agolla Aballa, the late Raphael Omung’i, the late Owuor Nyadimo, Meresia Maende, Marithah Owiti, Grace, Jenipher, the late Odhiambo Nyadimo, the late Nyiera Aballa, Owino Owiti, and Noah.

Of all his adventures, his favorite was that of being a Grandfather to his grandchildren: Kelly, Charles, Godfrey, Stacy, Miguel, Mitchelle, Fiona, Celine, Angella, Adrian, Alicia, Blessing, Maggy, and Jayden.

Your nephews and nieces will forever treasure your generosity and counsel.

The cortege will leave General Kago Funeral Home, Thika on Friday, August 27, 2021. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home in Sakwa Bondo, Siaya County led by Fr. Collins of Bondo Parish Catholic Church.
