Patrick Musambu was accused of saying "I will chop you and take your head to Pangani police station"

A man, who threatened to kill his neighbour in Mlango Kubwa in Nairobi has been released on bond after he denied the charges. 

Patrick Lumumba Musambu was charged that on December 1, he threatened to kill his neighbour Christine Nduku while armed with a machete at their residential place.

He is alleged to have uttered the words; “I will chop you and take your head to Pangani police station.”

According to the investigations report, the accused had been issuing death threats to Nduku and that on the material day, he saw her seated outside her door step and  started unleashing similar threats.

He is said to have told her fiancée that he will end her life one day and that neighbours will have to take care of his (Musambu) and her children while he serves his jail sentence.

Nduku reported the matter to the police.  He was released on Sh100,000 bond. The case will be mentioned on January 10. [Lilian Chepkoech]
