A woman, 24, was charged before a Makadara magistrate’s court with creating a disturbance likely to cause a breach of peace. Faith Mokeira is accused that on May 8, she locked her father out of the house, threw out household items, and shouted at him.
On the material day, it is stated that the father arrived home around 8 pm and found his wife outside the house. When he inquired what was going on, he was told that the accused had locked herself in the house.
Attempts by the father to seek clarity were not successful as the accused shouted at him while throwing house the items. Defeated, the parents proceeded to the Marurui police post where they reported the matter.
The next day, police officers gained entry into the house and managed to restrain Mokeira. She told the officers that she resorted to the action after someone violated her privacy by checking into her room without her consent. She denied the charges when she appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Agnes Mwangi and was released on a cash bail of Sh4,000.
