Stanchart nairobi marathon-results

By | October 31st 2011

Ernest Kebenei and Margaret Toroitich turned instant millionaires with a 1.5 million purse each, after winning the ninth edition of the standard chartered marathon this morning. Over 15,000 runners competed in the annual race, which saw Dennis Kipruto and Elizabeth Jelagat winning the half marathon race. The men were unable to break the 2 hour 10 minute barrier in the full marathon with the ladies clocking over 2 hours 30 minutes. Nevertheless, the race still offered its usual dose of bringing unheralded athletes to the fore.
