Deputy school principal stabbed to death in a suspected love triangle incident

A Deputy Principal in one of the schools in Nyamira has been stabbed to death in a suspected love triangle.

The deceased, Thomson Ndege, was stabbed on his way to the parking bay at one of the hotels in Kisii.

The incident was reported at Mosocho Police Station at 1am Monday, April 10.

It was reported that there was a commotion outside Pillars Bar in Matieko Sub location in Bogeka North Location less than 400 metres away from the police station.

Police rushed to the scene and found a motor vehicle belonging to a female Pharmacist at Marani Sub County Hospital that had stalled while trying to rush her lover, the deceased, to the hospital. The female is aged around 50.

The police report further states that the teacher was in the company of the said Pharmacist whom they were with when leaving the room.

"He was stabbed with a knife by the medic's alleged other lover who is in his mid-30s. The suspect had followed them to the guest rooms and ambushed them while heading to the vehicle at the parking lot. He stabbed the victim twice in the chest and he fell down unconscious," the report reads

According to police the assailant then fled into the darkness.

The Pharmacist and the deceased were seen at one of the supermarkets in Kisii town at around 6pm on Sunday before they drove together to the said hotel, where the assailant followed them.

Sources say the suspect had switched off the car's tracker before he stabbed the deceased.
