1.       The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Covid-19 Emergency Response Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Provision of 24-hour Ambulance Services.

2.       The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Provision of 24-hour Ambu­lance Services

3.       Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" 2018 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4.       Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Health, Head of Supply Chain Management, Afya House, Room 514 or through email address: [email protected] and inspect the bidding document from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays from 0800 to 1700 hours.

5.       The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of KES 1,000/= in cash or Bankers Cheque in favor of the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health at the cash office sit­uated at Afya House, 2nd Floor; Cathedral road, Nairobi. The bidding documents may be collected from the Head, Supply Chain Management office upon production of a purchase receipt. The bidding documents may also be downloaded free of charge from the Ministry's website: www.health.go.ke Bidders who download the bidding document are requested to inform the Procuring Entity and fully provide their contact details. This will be used in the event of a need to communicate to all the interested bidders.

6.       Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 7thOctober, 2020 at 10:00am. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 7thOctober, 2020 at 10:00AM

7.       All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of KES 2,000,000.00.

8.       Completed serialized/paginated tender/bidding documents, enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with Tender reference number and Tender Name should be addressed to:

9.       Prices quoted must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for (90) days from the closing date of the tender.

10.   Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Candidates or their representatives who choose to attend at Ministry of Health, Afya House, GIZ Conference Room at 10.00 a.m. Any additional information, addendums or clarifications in respect to this tender will only be available in our website www.health.go.ke All eligible bidders are advised to regularly check the website during the bidding period.
