Coast celebs take sides in political contest

Some Mombasa celebrities seem to have made up their mind on who to support for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat.

Last Friday, a group of 30 artistes and events organisers among them Coastal film boss Hassan Faisal, Beyonce and Queen Eve began a public campaign in support of Suleiman Shahbal.

“There is nothing wrong with us stating where our political interests are. It is not that he has compromised us to campaign for him. We are just in agreement with his youth agenda policies. He has promised to support showbiz in Mombasa and that is why we are counting on him,” Hassan told MondayBlues.
