Aura steps out of retirement as Oloo names Kenya Lionesses squad for Dubai 7s

Sinaida Aura has reversed her decision on her retirement from rugby after she was named in the Kenya Lionesses squad that will travel to Dubai this weekend for the Emirates Invitational Sevens tournament.

Aura had announced her retirement from rugby to concentrate on personal matters early this year and missed the Madrid 7s last month.

Kenya Lionesses Head coach Felix Oloo has also named Terry Ayesa in his squad for the Dubai Invitational 7s set for early April.

Ayesa will make her debut joining the likes of Linet Moraa, Leah Wambui, Diana Awino, Naomi Amuguni, Judith Auma, Sarah Oluche and Enid Ouma in the 16 team list.

Philadelphia Olando keeps her position as the team captain with Sheila Chajira being one of her assistants. Sinaida Aura has also been included in the squad having reversed her retirement decision which saw her miss the Madrid 7s trip.

Speedster Janet Okello, Christabel Lindo, Cynthia Camilla and Celestine Masinde have also maintained their slots in the team.

Kenya will compete against USA, Canada, France, Brazil, Japan in the tournament which will be played across two weekends.
