It was a case of so near, yet so far for Standard Group Limited after they lost 1-0 to eventual winners Capital FM in the inaugural Lenovo Intel football tournament at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies.

Capital (pictured) defeated Radio Africa 2-0 in the final.

Led by captain Robin Toskin, Standard smarted from a 1-0 loss to Radio Africa in their opening match to win four on the trot before losing to Capital in the semis.

Standard defeated Tri-Continental 2-0, won 1-0 against Datronics, defeated Copycat 1-0 and Inter-distributors 3-0. For the win, Capital received Lenovo laptops and a trophy.
