The prosecution pleaded with the court not to release the suspect on bond arguing that their accomplices were at large and the guns used in the shooting were yet to be recovered and that some of the suspects have no permanent place of residence, while others are suspected to be using fictitious names as they have no ID cards.
"The continuing investigations may be interfered with if the accused persons, some of whom are related to the aggrieved families, are released to go back to the community," read in part the request to which the accused persons objected.
The court released another suspect, Benson Irungu on grounds that no complainant had singled him out in the identification parades. He was however cautioned against engaging in vices.
The case will be mentioned on June 30 for the court to give the verdict on their bail terms.
