Video: Tanzanian songstress Ray C taken into custody by police as she allegedly tries to commit suicide

The dark ghosts of drug and substance abuse continue to haunt and terrorize the Tanzanian music industry.

Tanzanian singer Ray C was taken into custody on Friday night by Tanzanian police at Kinondoni area after she was reportedly walking on the road while shouting that someone was about to kidnap her.

The songstress who has been having drug problems reportedly asked for a knife so she could end her life.

This incident comes a few years after former Tanzanian President Jakya Kikwete offered to take her to rehab.

Currently in rehab is rapper Chiddy Benz who was admitted by Diamond Platnumz’s manager Babutale.
