He left me because I loved him too much

Two weeks ago, my boyfriend broke up with me for something I cannot comprehend up to now. I loved him with all my heart and gave him everything he ever wanted.

For the three years we had been together, I had never thought of cheating on him. I had told my parents all about him and they liked him. All my friends knew him and kept saying that we were the perfect couple.

I even thought of getting married to him one day and have beautiful children. Right now, all that is left in my mind is how I am going to pick up the pieces of a broken heart.

It was a Saturday afternoon when he asked me to meet him at his house. As usual, I went with fruits and chocolate to always lighten up the mood. When I got to the house, he told me that we needed to talk. I always hate it when someone tells me that, because things never end well.

I was right. He was breaking up with me. “You are the most beautiful person I have ever met and I don’t want to hurt you in the future. You have been faithful to me and loved me from the day we met. I really appreciate your love and caring, but to be honest I have been cheating on you and I think I don’t deserve you.” He said.

For a moment, I felt like the world was coming to an end. My heart was racing fast as tears run down my cheeks. He left me because I loved him too much.

I still don’t believe that the relationship I built for three years was over because of a reason I can’t understand. My heart is shattered in pieces and I don’t know how to move on.
