The renowned football television expert and former English Premier League professional footballer and manager said that, the duo will be targeted by a number of top clubs during the transfer window and could be tempted to move.

The efforts of Riyad and Kante are counted a great deal during Leicester’s struggle to stay at the top of the English Premier League giants, which recently crowned the them ‘new Sheriffs in tow.’

"Kante will be at the Euros and his France team-mates will be going: 'Oh, my manager wants you'. That's how it works and he's going to have his head twisted. I'd be shocked if those two were there next season." Said Merson.

However, Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is certain that his team will remain bound come next summer, after assuring reporters on Tuesday that he is keen to keep his title-winning squad together next season but insisted he would allow "unhappy" players to leave in order to protect the spirit in his camp.

"I don't want to sell anybody but of course if some players don't want to stay with us because they are unhappy to continue with us, then I don't want unhappy people," said Ranieri.

Merson fears that Leicester city will have to loss players and chances of signing ‘big names’ to English Premier league champions like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.

"They aren't going to get a player that Manchester City and Manchester United are trying to sign, even though they're champions. Said Merson.
