Singer Maureen Kunga of the Elani band becomes an Advocate of the High Court

About three months ago DJ Stretch who is also an MC, photographer and a presenter was admitted to bar as an advocate of the High Court.

Fast forward May 4th 2016, Maureen Kunga of the Elani Trio, another entertainer has been admitted to the bar.

In a ceremony graced by Chief Justice Dr. Willy Mutunga, the singer was among 114 lawyers admitted to the bar as Advocates of the High Court.

 “New Advocates admitted to the Bar. Na sio ile bar munaoijua.” Willy Mutunga joked on his Twitter.

He congratulated the lawyers: “Congratulations to the 114 Advocates on their admission to the Roll of Advocates.”

Maureen who was taking Law at The University of Nairobi posted her photo dressed in a wig and ceremonial dress.  “Advocate of high court of Kenya anybody? She wrote on her Instagram account
