Wenger: Our top four hopes are in danger

Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal are facing a fight to finish in the top four.

Just 48 hours after talking up his side's title chances, Wenger conceded their Champions League hopes are in the balance after they were held by Crystal Palace.

The downbeat Gunners boss, whose side have slipped to fourth this weekend, said: “After the game today I am not in the mood to dream about the championship.

“I am more in the mood to repair the mental damage and prepare for the next game and to look behind us because everybody is playing well and winning games and for us it could be a fight to get a place in the top four.

“We lacked sharpness against Crystal Palace and maybe a bit of free-flow in our head and confidence after the result against West Ham (a 3-3 draw). It is very frustrating.”
