Let's have local coaches manage our football teams

It would be better if our football teams can adapt and continue using local coaches to manage our teams. What is happening now is foreign coaches are eying Kenyan teams with the hope of being given a chance to coach them.

However, I do not see the essence of using such coaches while we have some within. I don't think such coaches have good intentions.

For instance, Adel Amrouche the former Kenya coach has allegedly been in the country over the past three weeks lobbying through senior government officials to have the Football Kenya Federation reinstate him at the national team.

Amrouche is also claiming a tidy sum of close to Sh100 million in unsettled salaries and allowances during his year long stint at Harambee Stars.

Also, Nutal the former Gor Mahia coach did a good job with Gor Mahia last season and people had high hopes in him. They felt that he should continue with the work, but he is nowhere now. Meaning that such coaches cannot be trusted.

It would be better off if we can use our local people to mentor our teams as this will also promote unity amongst our teams.
