Leaders angry with Knec over cancellation of KCSE results

Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior

MAKUENI: Local leaders have reacted angrily to cancellation of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results in 22 centres in the county. While releasing the results on Thursday, Education CS Fred Matiang’i announced that Makueni County was leading in last year’s examination irregularities.

Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior (pictured), MPs Kisoi Munyao (Mbooni), Daniel Maanzo (Makueni) and Richard Katemi (Kaiti) called for overhaul of the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec), accusing it of failing Makueni parents, students and the country at large.

“This is a sad story. We need a reshuffle of Knec and a thorough investigation. Innocent parents are now wondering what to do during this crisis,” said Mutula Junior.
