After plotting a course through the round of 32, the three Premier League sides will learn their fate at Friday lunchtime

It was a great night for the Premier League sides in the competition, with all three representatives plotting a path to the next stage.

Liverpool ground down Augsburg thanks to James Milner's penalty, while Tottenham saw off Fiorentina with a fine attacking display.

Manchester United briefly wavered against Midtjylland, but came back to record 5-1 win, inspired by debutant Marcus Rashford in attack.

A bit of disappointment for Mignolet

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is speaking to the press today – supposedly about the League Cup final, but the Europa League things has naturally come up.

“It’s a fixture to look forward to,” he says, before suggesting he would have preferred a different opponent.
