Fake woman nabbed in Eldoret

Eldoret, Kenya: This country is choking with fakes. Although China is blamed for supplying fake goods, we have many of our own homegrown fakes.

Fake seeds and fertilisers which renders farmers’ efforts futile. Fake preachers who promise heaven and give us hell.

Fake politicians who fatten themselves off peasants’ sweat. Now there is yet another entrant in this fakes’ contest: Fake women. She, sorry, he was accosted trying to access a construction site in Sosiani, Eldoret by guards who initially marvelled at “her” beauty only to realise after close scrutiny that he was, well, a fake.

The guards summoned the police who frogmarched the fake to the police station. It hasn’t been established what he wanted to do on the construction site.

However, there have been reports that several people in the area have been robbed, and even raped, by fake women.
