Marakwet East MP Kangogo Bowen has accused the Jubilee government of marginalising the people of Marakwet.
The MP’s claims as far as appointments made by the Jubilee government are concerned, are baseless and misplaced. Bowen should appreciate the fact that the community has a good number of people working in different Government capacities.
It is true we do not have a Cabinet or principal secretary but we are represented in other areas. We have a number of senior people from the community who have failed to help us and instead concentrated on their own selfish interests.
When Jubilee took over, the community was given three parastatal spots.
Deputy President William has done a lot in terms of development for the community as in the case of schools, churches and helping women organisations prosper but this seems unappreciated.
It is unfair for the MP to divert the attention from the problems facing his constituents, which he has failed to solve, to baseless claims. Bowen should tell Kenyans what he has done himself.
