Golf: KCB Group chair praises Karen Masters winners

KCB Group Chairman Andrew Kairu has praised golfers at the just concluded KCB Karen Masters at the Karen Country Club.

South Africa's Pro Toto Thimba won the third edition of KCB Karen Masters. Toto fought off stiff competition from Portuguese Stephen Pereira as the tourney got to home stretch to win $23,851 (Sh2.4milion).

Keith Horne, JC Ritchie, Garrick Higo, MJ Viljoen, Thriston Lawrence and Kenya's Greg Snow scooped the remaining five slots consecutively.

"Congratulations are in order to Toto Thimba on winning the KCB Karen Masters. We are delighted that Kenyan golfers have also performed well. As KCB we are looking forward to making this event better in 2020," Kairu said.

Toto sank an eagle on par 5 hole two, followed by two birdies in the first nine carding 65 points on Sunday to bag the top prize of the tournament that is part of the Sunshine Tour.
