Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday shared pictures on his social media of a visit he made to the Nusr-Et steakhouse in Dubai, owned by celebrity chef Nusret Gokce, alias Salt Bae.

According to sources, DP Ruto is on a four-day private business-cum-family trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“This evening I interacted with Hustler Salt Bae, a Turkish butcher, who has created a successful hustle out of salt, nyama and a knife. Mahustler wa Kenyatta , burma, dagoreti markets na wengine mko na compe na lessons hapo, mjipange. Kazi ni kazi, wìra ni wìra, mboka ni mboka,” posted DP Ruto, accompanied by pictures of him and Salt Bae.

Arsenal’s 32-year old Brazilian playmaker Willian also visited Salt Bae during the international break, following his omission from the national team's matches with Venezuela and Uruguay.

Willian was pictured in Dubai with Salt Bae on Instagram. However, coronavirus restrictions in England suggested he should have stayed in London.

Willian insisted he had not broken any rules with manager Mikel Arteta promising to deal with the issue internally.

Under COVID-19 restrictions in the UK, international travel is not permitted apart from for limited purposes such as work or education. However, the UAE is not on the UK's quarantine list, therefore, Willian was able to return to training.

"Whatever happens with things we don't expect we will try to resolve them internally. That's been dealt with and explained. We had a conversation and I explained what I was expecting. For every player there are a lot of personal factors at the moment," Arteta said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
