Manchester City and England defender John Stones has reportedly been spoken to by police after being accused of using CCTV to spy on his ex-girlfriend Millie Savage.

Savage - who was living at the £6million home she once shared with Stones - called cops after receiving texts showing Stones was aware of activity at the house, report The Sun.

Police are said to have visited Stones at the end of last month but were satisfied no offence had been committed, which Savage accepts.

Cops also allowed Savage - mother to a three-year-old girl with Stones - to break lockdown protocol in order to move in with her parents.

A source told The Sun: "Millie was on her own and feared she was being watched. It left her feeling vulnerable.

“John moved out when they split but was still able to log in to the cameras at the house via the internet.

“Millie received texts which showed that John was aware of the comings and goings from the property.

“She felt as if she was being monitored and was obviously anxious."

The pair split up in 2018 following the World Cup in Russia, which Savage travelled to in order to watch her then boyfriend in action.

Stones left their home - which he owns - to move into a flat, but allegedly told Savage he would return in the future and she would need to find somewhere else to live.

The 25-year-old began dating beautician Olivia Naylor, 30, following his split from Savage.

He has reportedly since offered to provide Savage with a new home, and wants to move Naylor and her baby son - to whom he is not the father - in to the home he once shared with Savage.

Stones and Savage were childhood sweethearts who began dating aged 14 when Stones was a promising youngster on the books at Barnsley.

Mirror Online has contacted John Stones' representative for comment.
