Neymar appeared to lash out at team-mate Weverton after the Brazil youngster nutmegged the axed captain during training.

Brazil forward has been replaced as skipper for next month's Copa America by his Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Dani Alves.

Nevertheless, the PSG superstar has been gearing up for the tournament as the eight-time Copa America winners look to win the tournament for the first time since 2007.

But their preparations have been clouded by a training ground incident in which Weverton humiliated his international pal with a lovely bit of skill.

The Cruzeiro ace showed superb feet to knock the ball through the forward’s legs, but Neymar seemingly didn’t take it well.

The former Barcelona ace immediately pulled the youngster back, grabbing his bib before sending him on his backside.

Weverton looked stunned as he lay on the pitch as Neymar continued his attempt to get the ball back.

The incident comes after Brazil confirmed manager Tite’s decision to drop Neymar as captain and appoint Alves ahead of the Copa America.

"Daniel Alves will be captain of the Brazilian national team in the friendly matches against Qatar and Honduras and in Copa America Brazil 2019," the CBF said in a statement.

"The decision was communicated by Tite to Neymar on Saturday. After training on Sunday, the coach talked to Daniel Alves to inform him of his choice."

The Copa America takes place in Brazil from June 14 to July 7, with the hosts taking on Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru in Group A.
