See adverts by popular betting firm that have caused a stir in Kenya

A fast expanding betting firm OdiBets is causing a stir among football fans across Kenya with controversial billboards poking fun at followers of English Premier League clubs.

Kenyan football fans are ardent followers of the English Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester United commanding a huge following.

In one of the billboards, the popular gaming firm OdiBets, displays an image of a lady having a dig at Arsenal fans that “Ile kitu Arsenali watashinda tu ni njaa” an apparent jab on Arsenal’s trophy-drought.

The poke in the eye has caused delirious and hilarious mixed responses on social media with most billboards strategically erected along busy highways in the country.

Drivers have been heard on several occasions saying that OdiBets adverts provide comic relief to motorists along our country’s jam-packed roads.

In another advert shooting out of parked buses near the famous ‘Machakos Country bus station’ a billboard reads, “Design Mourinho Hupark the Bus’ – an insulation that will endear to Jose Mourinho’s critics. No prizes for guessing which team he manages.

Swashbuckling Manchester City are not spared either. The high-flying Cityzens are seemingly wheeling away to another EPL title but the advert seeks to cool their fans expectations declaring: “This season Man City watajua hawajui” – Man City will know they don’t know in the Queen’s English!

The betting firm prides itself as being one for the ordinary people, “MaOdinare” – a tag that has also generated interest among the punters in Kenya.
