Liverpool Martin Skrtel is set to quit Anfield to join Fenerbahce in a £5.5million deal.

The Turkish outfit have tabled a bid of 7million Euros for the 31-year-old, who has been given the green light to discuss personal terms, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Skrtel has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and looks ready to move on after eight years on Merseyside.

The 31-year-old centre-back dropped down the pecking order following the appointment of Jurgen Klopp last season and is keen to take on a new challenge in order to secure regular first-team football.
