Body Building: Mr Mombasa tourney for November 15

Mr Mombasa body building championships is set for November 15, Kenya Body Building Federation (KBBF) Mombasa region has announced.

Region’s Vice Chairperson Julie ‘Beyoncé’ Achieng’ said four major events would be organised between November and December in Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Taita Taveta counties, which would culminate in Mr Coast championships.

Achieng’ said the competitions would be organised by Beyoncé Promotions in conjunction with KBBF Mombasa region.

She said the Mombasa event would be at the Thalassa Hotel, while the venues and dates for the other competitions would be confirmed in due course.

At the same time, the national office of the KBBF has released its calendar for 2014/15, which will have only three major events.

Federation’s Chairman Chris Omedo said his executive committee met and unanimously agreed to have three major events at the national level with the branches given free hand to stage their own competitions, but in consultation with the national office.

In a statement, Omedo said the calendar starts with Mr Nairobi body building contest on December 13.
