Aaron Ramsey: We’ve forgotten City defeat, now we’re Gunning for Chelsea

EPL: Aaron Ramsey has warned Chelsea that Arsenal haven’t lost confidence from their heavy defeat to Manchester City last weekend. The table-topping Gunners host Jose Mourinho’s men on Monday, with the Blues able to leapfrog Arsenal if they win at the Emirates.

But despite last week’s 6-3 loss to Man City, Ramsey insists he and his team-mates are ready to bounce back when Chelsea come to visit. ‘I don’t think it [the City defeat] has shaken us,’ he told the Daily Mail. ‘To concede that many goals was disappointing for the team, especially when we’ve defended so well this season.

‘We still created a lot of opportunities and we could have had six goals as well. ‘We’re also still top of the league, and therefore in a great position. ‘We’ve dropped a few points in the past couple of games and we are still top, and that just shows what a good start we’ve had.

‘Hopefully we’ll learn from this little blip and put it right as soon as possible.’ Arsenal could drop to third this afternoon should Liverpool beat crisis-club Cardiff and City take all three points from their trip to Fulham.
