K’Ogalo fans believe that Goalkeeper Ivan Mapunda’s ‘magic towel’ helped secure the precious FKF cup victory.

Elated fans spread their joy on the social media with descriptions on the man who literally handed the team the silverware. The near misses by golden boot winner John Baraza who failed to score and Joseph Nyaga’s shot that was denied by the post are all being credited to the magic in the towel.

After a barren draw, the match went into a post match penalty shoots out where Gor Mahia won 3-0. Mapunda saved two consecutive penalties, which ensured the FKF cup, ended in Gor Mahia’s trophy cabinet.

Ivon Mapunda won the hearts of  K’ Ogalo’s loyal fans some of who now believe that his towel had something to do with last nights success.

‘The magic towel Mapunda was using!’ was one of the comments posted by Felix Wamalika on Facebook

‘Mapunda I couldn't believe with your size u could be that gymnastically lethal. Kudos madonkey. Magic towel!.’  Commented Bartez Range on  Facebook .

On twitter @Badmanshutter tweeted ‘I'm officially a member of the Gor Mahia Towel Branch thanks 2 Ivo Mapunda’s towel’.

One K’ Ogalo fan page posted ‘The magic Towel ndio kiboko yao!’
