Kenya Lionesses will be seeking to avenge last weekend’s 27-15 loss to Madagascar’s Lady Makis when they face off in the second match on Sunday at Nyayo Stadium at 11 am East African Time.
Lionesses deputy head coach Mitch Ocholla said they are confident of stopping their opponents after working out their mistakes.
“It will be a big test for the ladies. We just want to check how they’ve improved during the week,” Ocholla said.
“We’re planning to start heavy and soften them using our forwards and then bring in some pace in the second half because we realized they were dominant with their running game, especially on the outside channel. We’re planning to block that channel and play in their half,”
On the other hand, Madagascar will be looking to complete a double over Kenya.
“The team is very well prepared to face Kenya. We want to confirm that our win was no fluke. We are under no pressure, the team just wants to perform,” said captain Veronique Rasaineka.
