Kenya Cup action returns in February, no spectators allowed yet

The 2021 Kenya Cup Rugby season is set to kick off next month following clearance from the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Heritage.

The season, set to kick off on Saturday 27 February will run for 11 match days, with the top four teams proceeding to for the semi-finals slated for on Saturday, May 22. The Kenya Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 29.

Before the 2021 Kenya Cup season starts, qualifiers involving the top six teams from the 2019-20 KRU Championship will be played on Saturday, February 6 and Saturday, February 13 respectively.

There will then be a league curtain raiser event pitting the current Kenya Cup holders against the current Enterprise Cup champions. This fixture is scheduled for Saturday, February 20.

All matches will be played in adherence to existing Covid-19 rules and regulations, with no spectators in attendance.
