In the second match, Kenya A comprising of Ibrahim Owuor and Evans Bera beat Rwanda ‘B’ of Mbonyuwo Ntumaj and Njamukunda Flavio 2-0 (21-13, 21-8).

In the women matches, Kenya A team of veterans Dorcas Ndasaba and Margaret Indakhala won 2-1 (15-21, 21-12, 15-6).

In the second tie pitting Kenya B of Edna Rotich and Eunice Maiyo, the Kenyans defeated Rwanda A duo of Jeannette Niyigenya and Charlotte Nzayinsenga 2-0 (22-20 21-17) before Kenya A returned to hit Rwanda A 2-0 (21-14, 21-11) in the third match. In the final match, Kenya B saw off Rwanda B 2-1 for a clean sweep. Meanwhile, the visiting teams benefited from a token of appreciation from the Kenya Tourist Marketing Board.

The board gave the visitors maps of Kenya’s tourist attractions, which included national parks, brochures of world-class beach hotels found at the Coast.

Elsewhere, the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Junior World Championship in Peru second round concluded on Thursday in Lima and Trujillo and placed all 16 teams into their respective classification semi-final pools.

The second round was comprised of four groups of four teams split into a top eight and bottom eight brackets based on results from the first-round results.
