Bobby Madley has travelled to Norway to be with new girlfriend Jenny Emilie Johannessen following his dismissal as a Premier League referee and marriage split, it has been claimed.

It's been a turbulent few weeks for the 32-year-old who was allegedly sacked for a Snapchat slur against the disabled.

Johannessen is a nurse in Oslo and, according to the Daily Mail, Madley is shacked up with his new girlfriend overseas in a bid to rebuild his life.

The blonde Norwegian became a nurse after her singing career didn't work out, her band Wizards of Ozlo failing to make the big time.

The pair have reportedly been dating for eight months.

Madley was axed as a referee for posting an offensive message on Snapchat which was passed on to Premier League chiefs, The Sun claimed.

The Yorkshire-born former ref apparently shared a picture of a disabled man with an accompanying insensitive remark regarding the likelihood of him being able to beat the official in a school sports day race.

One of Madley's Snapchat followers apparently took a grab of the comment and sent it on to his bosses, who are said to have subsequently fired the referee.

Madley, who was allegedly on a six-figure salary plus bonuses, is reportedly under a gagging order as part of his exit package, explaining the silence surrounding his unexpected departure.

Madley refereed 19 Premier League games last season.

A Premier League spokesman told The Sun: "Bobby Madley is no longer employed by PGMOL. We understand he has decided to relocate due to a change in his personal circumstances.”
