Kenyatta University shine at swim gala

Kenyatta University and Braeburn Swim Club stole the show during the national age group swimming gala at Makini School, Nairobi at the weekend.

The University students dominated boys and girls over 16 years events that attracted over nine swimming clubs.

In boys 16 years and over 200m butterfly, the University students swept all the top three positions, led by Emmanuel Kibadengi, with a time of 3.30.29.

Erick Mwenje and Rodgers Tobiko clocked 3.39.22 and 4.18.41 for the second and third positions respectively.

In girls 16 years and over 100m individual medley, Kenyatta University stole the limelight winning all the top three positions.

Chantal Tshiula won in 1.50.59 with Mercy Hayker settling for the second slot after returning a time of 1.51.50. Mary Makau touched the wall with a time of 1.56.63.
