Manchester United have allowed several players to leave on loan this month and more could still follow.

Jesse Lingard and Facundo Pellistri recently secured temporary exits to West Ham and Alaves respectively.

Youngster Brandon Williams is also looking to play more regularly and could head to another Premier League outfit.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to plan for the future though and has several positions he wants to be filled this summer.

Targets are already being identified as the Red Devils look to take advantage of what has been a promising season thus far.

Here are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Old Trafford.

Kounde top of the wishlist

Solskjaer has made the 22-year-old his No 1 summer transfer target.

The Red Devils boss is in the market for a centre-half and views Kounde as the ideal partner for captain Harry Maguire

Kounde has impressed since signing for the La Liga outfit from Bordeaux 18 months ago.

The French youngster has emerged as one of the most promising defensive talents in Spain.

Pellistri heads out on loan

Facundo Pellistri has secured a loan move to Alaves for the remainder of the season.

The teenager joined in the summer and has begun his first team preparation with United's U23s.

Solskjaer is now keen for the Uruguayan to get some minutes under his belt and has sanctioned his exit.

Club Brugge were also keen but a switch to La Liga was always Pellistri's preference.

Ole given transfer ultimatum

Solskjaer has been told he will have to offload players if he wants to raise funds for a new defender.

United are in better financial shape than most but all clubs have been affected by the global pandemic.

As such the Old Trafford board are not prepared to throw money at a new centre-half without seeing players leave first.

Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero are the three individuals set to be ushered towards the exit door.

Game time as been at a premium for them all and leaving Manchester may end up suiting all parties.
