Arsenal are facing a dilemma on deciding the replacement for Alexis Sanchez as his plight at the Emirates hang on a thread. Club manager Arsene Wenger is said to have declared that the future of the player could be sorted within a span of 48hrs.

The Gunners are interested in getting a player in return from Manchester United to fill the impending void.

Wenger is a huge fan of Anthony Martial and wants him in the swap deal but he is facing resistance from the club’s new head of scouting Sven Mislintant who is keen on getting Henrik Mkhitayran.

Mislintant signed Mkhitayran while at Boroussia Dortmund and wants a reunion with him in London. Jose Mourinho has pushed down the Armenian in the pecking order after poor performances. The Portuguese tactician is reportedly prepared to offload him to Arsenal in bid to get Alexis Sanchez.

Last summer, Manchester City tabled a fee of £60M in a bid to get Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal but Arsenal were reluctant in letting their star player leave.

Arsenal have slapped a price tag of £35M on Sanchez and it is only such sum that could see the Chilean leave the Emirates Stadium.

UK media reports indicate that Manchester United have agreed to pay a sum on the north of £35M plus Henrikh Mkhitayran to soften the loss of losing Sanchez. Manchester City on the other hand placed a bid of £20M to get Sanchez on their side, which leaves United as the favourites for the former Barcelona man.

Red Devils are also said to have agreed personal terms with the player that will see him pocket extra of £350,000 per week, making him the most paid player in English premier.

The next couple of days will determine the fate of Alexis Sanchez who seems to have made up his mind to join either of the rivals.

It however remains a ‘wait and see’ situation if Jose Mourinho will sanction the departure of Antony Martial who has sneaked with match winning goals this season.
