Everton are on the verge of signing Burnley defender Michael Keane with a deal set to be completed before the weekend.
The England international will not return to pre-season with the Clarets as Sun Sport exclusively revealed he is closing on a £25million switch to Goodison Park.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has been a long-term admirer of Keane having tracked the 22-year-old throughout the season.
But it has only been the last two weeks where Everton have made a serious move for his signature as Burnley boss Sean Dyche concedes defeat in keeping his talent at the club.
If the deal goes through, Keane will become Burnley’s most expensive player ever eclipsing the £7m Southampton forked out for James Rodriguez in 2011.
