Johana Omondi joins Belgium side Waasaland-Beveren

The Kenyan International Eric Johana Omondi on Wednesday joined Belgian second-tier side Waasland-Beveren on a season-long deal.
The former Mathare United forward parted ways with Swedish side J Sodra and was in Kenya on a short holiday recently before proceeding to Belgium to finalize the deal.?
The club took to its official platforms to announce the capture of the forward.
"Welkom op de Freethiel, Eric Johana Omondi [sic],” wrote Waasland-Beveren club.
The club has been reinforcing its squad as they intend to push for promotion to the top league.
Among the players who recently debuted for the club is young center-back Adama Adrile Traore who joined the team from Abidjan City FC in Ivory Coast.
The team edged Royal Excelsior 4-0 on Sunday and is currently second on the First Division B log with 27 points from 17 matches.
Up next is a match against table-toppers Westerlo on Sunday evening, a fixture the Harambee Stars forward is expected to feature in.
The 27-year-old Johana has 11 caps for the Kenyan National team; his debut game was against Ethiopia on 4 July 2015 at Nyayo stadium and his maiden goal was the winning goal for Kenya against Congo at Kasarani Stadium with a 2–1 final score line.
Before signing with J Sodra, the forward midfielder played with Vasalunds IF, and IF Brommapojkarna clubs.
Idrottsföreningen Brommapojkarna, more commonly known as Brommapojkarna or simply BP club located in the borough of Bromma, in the western parts of Stockholm municipality while Vasalunds IF club is based in Solna, Stockholm.
The club is affiliated with Stockholms Fotbollförbund. Both clubs are from Sweden.
