Kenya Police will be seeking to end their three-match winless streak when they take on FC Talanta at Kasarani Stadium today as the FKF Premier League enters round 26.
Last week, the two teams played out to a 1-1 draw but Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo’s Police will be hunting for maximum points today as he seeks to register his second win at the club.
Since joining the club last month, Omollo has overseen four matches, registering one victory (against Gor Mahia), one defeat (against AFC Leopards) and two draws (against Talanta and Leopards).
“It was painful to concede a late goal against Talanta last weekend but that is a lesson learnt and it’s now behind us. Today we rise up and go again. We need to defend well, especially set pieces and ensure we take our chances to be able to win,” said Omollo.
At the same time, defending champions Tusker and Gor Mahia will collide in Narok as Ulinzi Stars entertain Nairobi City Stars at the newly built-Ulinzi Sports Complex, in Lang’ata Barracks.
The facility was officially opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday.
Tusker are on 43 points with nine matches to go, one above Gor Mahia who are also looking to reclaim the title they lost to the brewers last season.
In Thika, Posta Rangers will tackle Bidco United.
Tomorrow, leaders Kakamega Homeboyz will be out to stretch their 10-point lead as they host Sofapaka at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega. The two sides settled to a 1-1 draw at Kasarani Annex last weekend.
Homeboyz have garnered 53 points and a win will increase their chances of lifting their maiden Premier League title.
