David Owino scored the solitary goal three minutes from end of regular 90 minutes to hand Simba wa Nairobi their sixth win of the campaign.

Victory also propelled City Stars to the helm of the standings with 21 points, three more than Gor Mahia and Kakamega Homeboyz who play tomorrow.

The bankers are now unbeaten in their last nine matches with their last defeat coming at the hands of Gor on September 25 when they lost 2-1.

For City Stars, this was their third loss of the season as they dropped to fifth in the log with 17 points.

In Mombasa, 10-man Kariobangi Sharks ended their two match losing streak after playing out to a 1-1 draw with Bandari at Mbaraki Grounds.

Patrick Otieno scored for the visitors in the first half before they spoilt their party with an own goal in the second half to share the spoils and pick a vital point from the visit to Mombasa.

The draw leaves Sharks fourth with 17 points one more than the dockers who have now drawn in their last four matches.
