Kakamega Homeboyz crushed Kariobangi Sharks 4-1 to collect maximum points in an entertaining FKF Premier League match at ASK Nakuru Showground this evening.

Playing with determination from the onset, Homeboyz made their intention known of their seriousness to snatch the victory in the opening minutes when they missed two good chances with Sharks custodian Brian Olang'o well beaten.

The two moves left Sharks' defence confused in what head coach William Muluya admitted in a post-match interview that they lost to a better side.

With the two raids, it was time for Homeboyz to make amends in their upfront playing pattern and it did not come as a surprise when their man of the match Shami Kibwana found the back of the net in the 29th minute with a well-calculated shot that easily beat Olang'o in Sharks goal.

Olang'o was on the mark again in the 38th minute this time with a powerful drive to ensure Homeboyz took a comfortable 2-0 at the break.

Shami who had a good afternoon gave Sharks defenders Thomas Omenda, Alphonce Omina, Daniel Sakari and Ibrahim Ochieng' a rough time as they found themselves beaten most of the times from the tricks of the marauding Homeboyz striker.

Shami completed his hattrick in the 50th minute to send the Kakamega based outfit into celebrations.

The celebrations resulted in some complacency at the Homeboyz rearguard for danger man Peter Licasa to slot in the consolation goal for Kariobangi Sharks in the 67th minute.

A defensive blunder in the 76th minute by the Sharks gave in Brian Shihanda the opportunity to snatch the fourth goal for the winners in the match.

In the same venue yesterday, Ulinzi defeated Vihiga United with Ibrahim Shambi scoring a double for the soldiers.
