Leaders Tusker missed a chance to open a nine-point gap after being held to a barren draw by bottom-placed Mathare United at Ruaraka in one of the three FKF Premier League matches played on Tuesday.

Tusker remain top of the standings with 55 points, seven points ahead of second-placed KCB who has a two-match advantage having played fewer games.

Despite Tusker welcoming back in their starting line-up captain Hashim Sempala and George "Blackberry" Odhiambo, Mathare put up a brave fight to share the spoils.

Even with the barren draw, the Slum Boys are still bottom on 15 points from 25 matches.

Elsewhere, Bandari fought from two goals down to hold Bidco United to a 2-2 draw in an entertaining match played at Thika Stadium that witnesses two players sent off in the second half.

Bidco United fullback David Kalama was shown a straight red card in the 59th minute before Umar Kasumba of Bandari was given his marching orders 73rd minute.

David Orem had given the hosts the lead at the half-hour mark after converting a penalty before Alex Juma ensured Bidco took a healthy 2-0 lead at the break with a goal in the 43rd minute.

In the final half, Kasumba pulled a goal back for the visitors four minutes after the restart before Bidco were 10-men with Kalama red-carded.

The dockers utilized their numerical advantage to force a penalty in the 65th minute which William Wadri converted to tie the scores at 2-2.

With Bandari threatening with every attack, their hopes of getting a late winner were thwarted after Ugandan import Kasumba was shown red 11 minutes from time.

The draw leaves Bidco 11th with 32 points as Bandari move joint sixth with Nairobi City Stars with 37 points.
