Kisumu All Stars will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they face Nairobi Stima as the race for securing promotion places heats up in the National Super League (NSL) midweek matches on Wednesday.

All Stars are fresh from their away 3-3 draw against Modern Coast Rangers in Mombasa and will be playing their second consecutive away match against Stima at Camp Toyoyo.

Currently joint third in the standings alongside rivals Kisumu Hot Stars and Fortune Sacco with 17 points, All Stars head coach Salim Babu is upbeat of improving on their away form after a disappointing draw at the coast over the weekend.

Babu said his charges are ready to bounce back with a win after learning from their mistakes.

“We have to improve on our defense. Offensively, we are good especially after scoring eight goals in two matches. Now what we need is to stand tall in defense and avoid conceding easy goals,” said the former Western Stima tactician.

“Playing away is not always easy. The team is slowly rebuilding its chemistry and I believe if the boys improve on their performances that they gave in Mombasa we will win against Stima.”

Nairobi Stima is currently sixth in the standings but with one point behind All Stars and a win will take them above the lakeside outfit.

In Muranga, newbies Kisumu Hot Stars will be hunting for their second consecutive win when they face relegation threatened Murang’a Seal at St. Sebastian Park.

Hot Stars are third in the log with 17 points, 13 points above Muranga Seal.

In Western, Vihiga Bullets FC will welcome Migori Youth FC as new boys Soy United FC entertain Shabana FC at Bhukungu Stadium.
